In late 2017 irrigation specialists Southern Water Company of Nowra, New South Wales, merged with metal supplier Vicool and sought to refresh their logo to recognise this.
The aim was to maintain a level of familiarity with their previous logo for their primary demographic of farmers and growers in the surrounds of Nowra, whilst simplifying it enough for a level of scalability that would allow it to be used on signage, vehicle decals, and invoice notices.
Both companies had been operating successfully for over ten years in the region, with the owners of each being residents for longer still. The resulting fusion boasts skill, expertise, and trust from clients in their fields, so colour and type choices that reflected this were essential.
The end result is a simple logo with easy to read type (Roboto Bold) on a contrasting background. The individually recognisable windmill can be separated from the main logo for use in situations where the type is unnecessary.
